UK: Former IRA officer Bobby Storey laid to rest in Belfast

Former member of the Irish Republican Army was laid to rest in Belfast on Tuesday after he died last week at the age of 64. Prominent Irish republican politicians, including former Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams, attended the funeral. «He was a, a warm diplomat, a positive influence, a uniter, a skilled organiser, and one of our great leaders,» said Adams. Storey served nearly 20 years in prison stemming from his IRA activities. He was a prominent member of Sinn Fein in the years after his release.
