UK: Far-right 'Gays Against Sharia' protest met with counter-demo in Bristol

Scores of far-right activists from the 'Gays Against Sharia' and 'British & Immigrants United Against Terrorism' groups joined forces for a protest in the southwestern city of Bristol, Sunday. The demonstration was met with pockets of counter-protesters, but police prevented the situation from escalating. The groups wanted to raise awareness of what they see as Sharia law's infringement on gay... Еще rights. «It’s important for gay people to stand up and object to Shariah which kills gay people all over the world, and we are on the side of right, these are decent people, decent people who are constantly demonised, and it’s time someone stood up and said 'enough',» said Anne Marie Waters, a leadership candidate for the United Kingdom Independence Party.
