UK: Extinction Rebellion protesters call for end of animal farming, block central London

Extinction Rebellion protesters flooded central London including Parliament Square on Thursday, as climate activists took to the streets for the third day of demonstrations. Some of the protesters were seen being dragged away by police officers. Activists were seen holding banners against animal farming, claiming it has a devastating effect on climate change. The group reportedly intends to demonstrate for a further seven days in London, and across the UK, in order to draw attention to the urgent need for action on climate change.
