England reached their first Cricket World Cup final for 27 years with a thumping eight-wicket victory over Australia at Edgbaston on Thursday.
An explosive start from England's bowlers saw Australia reduced to 14-3. Steve Smith held his side together with 85 helping them to 223.
The hosts opening partnership laid any nerves to rest, adding 124 for the first wicket. It was left to captain Eoin... Еще Morgan to hit the winning runs with 17.5 overs to spare.
The hosts will now have the chance to lift the trophy for the first time when they face New Zealand at Lord's on Sunday.
Morgan said his team were looking to enjoy Sunday's final, especially after a disappointing performance in 2015.
For Australia, historically dominant in World Cups, it was a limp end to a tournament which started positively.
Australian skipper Aaron Finch said the holders would now enter a period of reflection and rebuilding with an eye on 2023.
