Dozens of protesters joined an anti-racism demonstration organised by All Black Lives Matter UK (ABLUK), in London, on Sunday.
Participants held signs decrying racism, many bearing the slogan «Black Lives Matter,» as they listened to speeches from protest organisers.
One protester condemned «the fact that the UK government is selling riot shields, rubber bullets and tear gas to the US police,» saying the government was effectively «backing up the violence against the Black Lives Matter movement.»
The demo focused also on what organisers regard as the unequal treatment of black women in the healthcare system.
ABLUK is separate from the main Black Lives Matter movement, but shares similar goals, with the group being behind the Bristol protest that resulted in the statue of slave trader Edward Colston being torn down.
