Judges ruled that new proceedings can be brought against far-right activist Tommy Robinson who was filmed arriving at the Old Bailey in London on Tuesday. He was met outside by rival crowds of supporters and opponents.
The court gave the permission to go ahead with a re-trial after an application from the UK attorney-general. Robinson, who has had a series of convictions, is facing a contempt of... Еще court charge for filming and broadcasting people involved in a criminal case on social media.
He was already convicted and jailed in this case in May 2017 for 10 months and to three more months for breaching a previous suspended sentence. It was cancelled by the court of appeal last August and Robinson was released on bail. The new proceedings may send him back to prison if he is found guilty.
