During a live TV debate with his oppenent, the UK Foreign Secretary and Prime Ministerial candidate Jeremy Hunt, Johnson continuously refused to commit to keeping... Еще Darroch in Washington. Hunt however said he would keep the ambassador after reiterating his support for Darroch.
Both candidates pledged for the UK to leave the EU by October 31.
The comments came after the US President Donald Trump attacked the UK envoy following Darroch’s leaked memos criticising the US President.
The current foreign secretary Hunt and his predecessor Johnson are the final two candidates to replace UK Prime Minister Theresa May as both the leader of the country and the Conservative Party on July 24.
