UK: Artist drapes London church with refugees’ clothing to raise awareness

Seven hundred items of refugees’ clothing found on the Greek island of Lesbos make up a new installation in London’s St James’s in Piccadilly church, which opened on Thursday. The items of clothing were hung the nave of the church, as part of the “Suspended” installation by British war artist Arabella Dorman. The work aims to bring the refugee crises back into focus, by bringing the chaos... Еще and disruption to the lives of refugees to the heart of London. The installation's name aims to symbolise both the physical attributes of the artwork and the state of limbo suffered by hundreds of thousands of people fleeing violence and misery worldwide.
