Arsenal and Chelsea's team busses arrived at an unusually empty Wembley stadium on Saturday afternoon. Normally hundreds of fans would line the street in anticipation of the oldest cup in football but there were only a handful waiting for their heroes amid coronavirus prevention measures.
The 139th edition of the legendary cup final had been postponed, as had all of the football season. With both teams being London based, the local derby would have normally been a fan fest. However, due to the restrictions, Saturday's final was played without a crowd.
Chelsea took the lead early through a goal from American wonderkid Christian Pulisic. Arsenal equalised through a Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang penalty. Arsenal eventually won the match 2-1 after the Gabon international doubled his tally with his 29th goal of the season.
It was the 14th time that Arsenal have lifted the trophy, making them the most successful team in the FA cup's history.
