Turkey has repatriated an alleged fighter of the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS; formerly ISIS/ISIL) German-Iraqi Kanan B. and his family to Germany, from Istanbul's airport on Thursday.
The deportees were brought to airport before they boarded a plane en route to Berlin. A representative of the Turkish Interior Ministry said on Monday that a total of ten German nationals are expected to be... Еще deported to Germany this week, including three men, five women and two children.
Thursday's repatriation comes as Ankara began extraditing suspected IS fighters and their families back to their countries. Ankara said that several European countries have refused to accept suspected IS fighters and their families.
