Migrants from different countries stranded in Edirne near Turkey’s border with Greece shared their stories in the interviews recorded on Monday.
«I want to go to Germany. We have been here for three days. Life is too hard here. There are too many people here. Eight people lost their lives today,» explained Mustafa Kabil, a migrant from Afghanistan.
«I just want them to open the borders, nothing... Еще more,» said Al Fattah, a migrant from Syria who hopes to move to the Netherlands.
Two migrants of Pakistani and Uzbek who have both been in Turkey for four years after coming there from Afghanistan said that their goal was to get to Germany.
Last week Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the government would no longer stop migrants and refugees from entering the European Union, effectively paving the way for them to move towards the Greek border and into EU territory.
