Shopping centres in Istanbul reopened with strict safety measures on Monday, after Turkey started easing nearly two months of lockdown measures.
Staff and customers should wear masks and observe social distancing rules in all stores. Shopping centres should also decrease capacities, provide disinfectants and, as seen on one of Istanbul’s busiest commercial streets, check visitors' temperatures... Еще before they enter the premises.
Security personnel can also be seen checking people’s temperatures outside the malls and handing out masks.
As of on Monday, people in Turkey were allowed to leave their homes again after a 48-hour curfew was lifted by the government. Barbershops and hair salons have also been allowed to reopen across the country.
On Sunday, Turkey registered 47 new deaths related to COVID-19. According to Johns Hopkins University, the country now tallies 3,786 deaths and 138,657 confirmed coronavirus cases.
