Russian President Vladimir Putin met with his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani ahead of a trilateral summit with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara on Wednesday. The two leaders emphasised the importance of bilateral cooperation on resolving regional issues including the Syrian crisis. «I am happy to have this meeting with you which gives us the opportunity to talk about... Еще improving on bilateral relations and discuss regional issues including Syria together,» Putin said. Rouhani echoed a similar sentiment saying, «security and stability in Syria, return of those displaced by war and the future and fate of Syria decided by the Syrian people vote are our three important goals in Syria.» Leaders of Turkey, Iran and Russia are set to discuss the implementation of the agreements reached at the first trilateral summit in Sochi in November 2017. The agenda also includes the possible additional measures to ensure stability and reduce violence in Syria.
