Despite international outrage, Turkey carries on with 'Olive Branch' operations against YPG Kurdish militants in Afrin and plans for extended operations in Idlib province. Turkey views the YPG, which is active in northern Syria, as an extension of the banned militant group the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
