Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a joint press conference in Ankara, Friday, following a meeting between the two leaders.
Khan said that the pair talked about the situation in Syria, adding that «we are praying that peace comes in Syria and the suffering of the people of Syria stops.»
«I can assure you that Pakistan stands with Turkey in... Еще defeating ISIS,» Khan continued, adding that the «Pakistan Army and its intelligence agencies have done a magnificent job of defeating terrorism.»
«We hope that with the help of our neighbours, Iran, Afghanistan, and with the help of Turkey, we hope we can eliminate terrorism,» he added.
Former cricket player Imran Khan, now head of the country's government and leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party, arrived in the Turkish capital on Thursday for a two-day visit.
