Turkey: Erdogan’s call to world over Kurds

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has urged the international community to «side with Iraq's territorial integrity and political unity» during a press conference in Ankara. “We have to prevent the Kurdish regional government from making even more serious mistakes,” said Erdogan said while standing alongside Russian President Vladimir Putin. The President's comments come after Iraqi Kurds... Еще voted overwhelmingly in favour of independence in a referendum held on Monday, with 92% of 3.3m people voting for a separate Kurdish state. Turkey has an estimated 14.5 million Kurds, around two million more than the official figures listed as living in Iran and Iraq combined.
