Antalya, one of the most popular tourist destinations in Turkey, prepared for the return of holiday-makers implementing coronavirus restrictions, on Thursday.
The province which boasts the most Blue Flag beaches in the world has unveiled measures which ensure to maintain social distancing regulations. Sun loungers have been placed further apart, while ropes indicate where people may place their towels.
Antalya city coordinator for Blue Flag certificates, Lokman Atasoy explained some of the procedures, saying that upon entry beach-goers will be handed masks and antibacterial gel. He added that distance has to be maintained both on the shore and in the sea.
General Manager of Sirene Belek Hotel, Ercan Cek said that although the coronavirus pandemic came as a shock, the hotel is prepared to welcome guests having implemented the guidelines announced by the Ministry of Tourism.
