Too cool for school? Russian students brace minus 55 degrees

School children in the Russian village of Oymyakon, in the far eastern region of the same name, refused to take a day off despite temperatures reaching a positively Arctic minus 55 degrees Celcius, Saturday. Oymyakon is, unsurprisingly, one of the coldest permanently inhabited regions on Earth. Not everyone had lessons to go to though, local teenagers revealed.
