The only way to travel: Equestrian nomad sees World Cup cities on horseback

Equestrian traveller Li Jing is famous for the long journeys he undertakes on horseback. He recently began his third major trip from the Caucasus mountains. Ruptly met the 55-year-old traveller in two of the World Cup host cities, in Sochi in April and a month and more than 500km (310 miles) later, in Rostov-on-Don. «In general I sleep in the nature — in the fields, in the forest. Sometimes I... Еще meet friends — we meet each other on the road,» he explained his journey so far outside the Rostov Arena. The next cities on the traveller's voyage are Volgograd, Samara, Saransk, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow and St. Petersburg. His goal is to end the trip in Murmansk before the end of 2018. Li, who is based in Moscow and has a wife and son, became famous in the end of the last decade after his 18 month and more than 9,000 kilometre (5,590 miles) voyage from Votkinsk, Russia to Beijing, China. He has also travelled the Great Wall of China on horseback.
