Another 6 new cases of people infected with the novel coronavirus have been diagnosed in Thailand, raising the total number to 14 patients, according to Thailand's Ministry of Public Health.
Footage filmed in the capital city Bangkok on Thursday shows people taking preventative measures and wearing face masks to avoid getting infected. Several tourists visiting the city's most famous attractions... Еще such as the Wat Traimit temple, Chinatown and Wat Pho can also be spotted among the locals having their faces covered.
Wendy Supapol, a Canadian tourist, shared her thoughts about the ongoing outbreak saying: «I think we are quite concerned and especially how the more news you get about it spreading so we are worried and we actually had trouble finding masks, we just found these this morning but in a lot of stores [they] were sold out. So, we've been here for a couple of days just kind of avoiding crowds.»
Other tourists from France, Emilie and Karim, explained that they didn't take many precautions when they got to the airport and stated they first got the mask because of the pollution. «No, we didn't take any precautions, really. Only once we arrived here. First because of pollution and because everyone wears masks. We ended up in public transportation without masks and saw the people had them. So, we decided to buy some. Otherwise, we are not very afraid. We wash our hands, we have hand sanitiser, and we avoid touching people,» they said.
The coronavirus has reportedly killed at least 170 people so far and infected more than 7,700 in China alone, with more than a hundred cases reported worldwide across twenty countries, including Germany, France, Finland Canada and the US.
