Hundreds of protesters gathered in front of Nonthaburi's police station on Monday, reportedly calling for Police Lieutenant Colonel Sihadet Sa Kop Kaew to resign his post.
Footage highlights the large crowd shouting outside the station while holding their cellphones up in the air, with a message: 'switch on the light to expel dictatorship.'
Thailand has experienced large scale student-led demonstrations in different parts of the country for five consecutive days, with protesters requesting the Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha to resign, and reforms to be made to the monarchy, such as decreasing the funding of the crown.
The protests have been going on despite a state of emergency related to COVID-19 being was announced by the Prime Minister on Thursday, October 15.
