A group of royalists demonstrated near Bangkok's Democracy Monument on Thursday to show their support for the Thai monarchy.
The protesters paraded around with Thai flags and held pictures of the monarchy as they stood together in groups or drove around the city centre.
«I feel like most Thai people, we love our king, we love our monarchy because we respect our king. But there are many protesters right now for whom it doesn't matter, they just talk bad about our king, our majesty,» said one participant.
In recent weeks, Thailand has been rocked by student protests demanding political change in the form of democratic reforms such as amendments to the country's constitution and new elections.
The wave of protests began earlier this year following a constitutional court's decision which dissolved the Future Forward Party and banned its leader from participating in politics for 10 years.
