Thailand: Boys rescued from Tham Luang cave talk to press after leaving hospital

The 12 boys rescued from the Tham Luang caves in northern Thailand are «healthy and ready to go home» a health official said during a press conference with the team, their coach and three navy seals in Chiang Rai on Wednesday, after they were all discharged from hospital. The team introduced themselves in turn starting with Ake, the 25-year-old coach, who said that everyone agreed to go to the... Еще cave. They considered leaving the cave when seeing water flooding, but were too late. Dul, one of the team members, recalled the moment he saw the British drivers and said that was a «magical moment.» The football team, luckily, caught the final match of the World Cup 2018 during treatment at the Chiang Rai Prachanukroh hospital. The nurses supported Croatia, but the boys were for France, Ake said. The team of 12 boys and their coach have been completely rescued on July 10 after they entered the cave as part of an excursion but became trapped after a sudden, continuous downpour of rain flooded the underground area. They were found alive after a 10-day operation carried out by Thai forces and international rescue teams.
