The odd beverage is called Vozhd, which translates as 'authoritarian leader' in Russian. Each bottle costs 50 rubles (70 cent) and has proved to be a hit among locals and tourists alike. It is manufactured by local company Elita-Mineral Group. Talking about the unusual branding of the drink, head of the factory Arutunov Tigran said he was approached by a firm to «produce natural lemonade labelled with the image of Stalin.» He went on to say this idea seemed interesting «to many local people and visitors."Local resident Olga said about the unusual branding «it is our history. It is pleasant to see the faces of such significant people for us.»
