Pro-independence protesters gathered in front of the ruling Democratic Progressive Party's (DPP) headquarters in Taipei on Saturday, to demand holding a referendum on declaring constitutional independence from China. Protesters walked through the streets of Taipei holding placards reading 'No more bullying. No more annexation' and chanting slogans calling for Taiwan's independence. «China... Еще wants to swallow Taiwan. They think Taiwan is part of China. We say no to China,» one protester stated. The protest demanded a tougher stance by the DPP which they believe has so far upheld the status quo towards China.
