Hundreds of LGBTQ activists and community members braved the rain outside the parliament in Taipei on Friday, where the legislators voted in favour of legalising same-sex marriages, which became Asia's first such law.
Despite the rain, the activists came out in numbers, clutching umbrellas in one hand and a rainbow flag in the other one.
«Marriage is a fundamental human right. This bill should... Еще never have been voted on in the first place. It is bad that some people use the resources in their hands to oppress others,» said one attendee.
«Although the legislation itself is a mistake, there should not be any so-called homosexual marriage law. All human beings living on the earth should have this right,» he added.
