Kuomintang (KMT) presidential candidate Han Kuo-yu held a rally in Taipei on Thursday, ahead of the presidential vote, which is set to take place on January 11.
Addressing his supporters, the presidential hopeful urged them to cast their ballots on Saturday, saying that «we have nothing but the vote and the national flag of the Republic of China. We don't have any political weapons. The national... Еще flag and the vote represent determination.»
Han is the first politician from the centre-right KMT to be elected Mayor of Kaohsiung since 1998. He was selected as the party's presidential candidate after winning the primary in July.
He will face off against incumbent President Tsai Ing-wen of the centre-left Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) in the upcoming election.
