Еще YPG military trainers stayed in the city as military advisors to help the Military Council in terms of training. It happened in coordination with and under approval of the International Coalition. Today, two years later, the Council found that it was able to continue training and protection, and that it had the ability and sufficient experience in terms of training and combating. An agreement with the YPG was reached to withdraw its military advisors from Manbij, given that the YPG will conclude the withdrawal in the few coming days. We at Manbij Military Council thank again the YPG and the military advisors for what they provided to the Council. We also thank the International Coalition, and salute the sacrifices paid to liberate the city from ISIS terrorism. We at Manbij Military Council stress out that we are able to preserve the security of Manbij city and its borders against any foreign threats. We warn Turkey which attempts to impose its policies over the region ignoring safety and security in Manbij; we are against the mess in areas occupied [by Turkey] in north of Syria, where infighting, killing, arresting and kidnapping take place such as in Jarabulus, Al-Bab, Azaz, and Afrin. Turkey should seek to establish stability for thousands of refugees in the areas they control, and give them opportunities instead of refuging towards Manbij.» The US-backed Kurdish YPG (People's Protection Units) personnel will leave the Syrian town of Manbij, spokesman for the Syrian Kurdish military council Shervan Darwish announced on Wednesday. «An agreement with the YPG was reached to withdraw its military advisors from Manbij, given that the YPG will conclude the withdrawal in the few coming days,» Darwish said. The spokesperson noted: «We warn Turkey which attempts to impose its policies over the region ignoring safety and security in Manbij; we are against the mess in areas occupied [by Turkey] in north of Syria, where infighting, killing, arresting and kidnapping take place such as in Jarabulus, Al-Bab, Azaz, and Afrin.» A roadmap for Manbij had been announced on Monday following a meeting between Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlut Cavusoglu and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, suggesting the withdrawal of YPG personnel from the area.
