Soldiers from the Syrian Arab Army praised the results of the Russian-Turkish ceasefire agreement in Saraqib, Idlib Governorate, on Friday.
One of the soldiers pointed out how quiet the front line became, saying it was the «result of the meeting between the [Russian President Vladimir] Putin and the Turkish President [Recep Tayyip] Erdogan. As [soldiers in] the army and military forces, we are... Еще committed to the orders of the army's general leadership.»
«Being at the front lines, we are ready to respond to any breaches [committed by] these militant terrorist groups, we are completely ready to relaunch the military operations and to liberate the entire Syrian territories from the militant terrorist groups,» he stressed.
Another soldier added that no violation of the ceasefire was witnessed so far.
Russia and Turkey have agreed on a ceasefire in Syria's Idlib Governorate that was set to begin at 00:00 Friday (22:00 GMT Thursday), in a bid to avoid further escalation in the region.
The two sides also agreed on establishing a secure corridor south and north from the M4 — the main Idlib highway and to conduct joint patrols along it starting from March 15.
