Syria: Russian forces patrol Amuda as Kurdish withdrawal confirmed

Russian forces were on patrol in the northern Syrian town of Amuda on Tuesday, after the withdrawal of Kurdish forces from the so-called 'safe zone' was confirmed by Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu. According to Shoigu, more than 100 square kilometres (38 square miles) have been demined and various explosives have been neutralised. The Syrian government forces and Russian military police... Еще assisted the relocation of the People's Protection Units (YPG) personnel and their weapons from a 30-kilometres (20 miles) wide area on the Turkish-Syrian border.
