«I arrived yesterday, and the situation is perfect, at least we have a house, better than staying in a tent, at least you have here a water pipe when you open it you find water, but there in the camp, you have to bring water in gallons and go to the toilets and so much things, the situation in the camp is terrible. But here we are feeling good, there is a home» said Ahmed Badawia, a resident.
The project was the result of collective efforts from the Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS), Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency of Turkey (AFAD), Saed Charity Association (SCA) and the local council of Al-bab city.
