Syria: Medics identifying dead one year after Raqqa's liberation

Corpses and human remains are still being found in the Syrian city of Raqqa, almost a year after its US-backed liberation from the Islamic State (IS; formerly ISIS/ISIL). On October 8, a film crew joined a medical team on the ground as they try to identify corpses from clothes, fingerprints, documents or other special markers. During the battle for the city, some 3,000 bombs were reportedly... Еще dropped on the former IS stronghold, paving the way for a ground victory by fighters of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the People's Protection Unit (YPG).
