Syria: Kurds from Tal Abyad protest looming Turkish military operation

Residents from the Syrian city of Tal Abyad on Syria's northern border with Turkey, held a protest on Tuesday, against Washington's decision to withdraw troops from the area ahead of a planned Turkish military operation to create a 'safe zone' in northern Syria. Carrying banners and chanting slogans, Kurdish protesters were seen marching through the city. «I also demand the international... Еще community halt Erdogan where his limits are, there should be a solution for Erdogan's Tartaric Mongolic attacks. Should the international community be unable to find a solution; we will create the solution ourselves. We will die with dignity on our land,» said one protester. «We, in the name of Kawanat Rojava — which is a unity that combines all parties who live here: Arabs, Armenians, and Turkmen — say to the Turkish state that we are united hand in hand, [and will] battle till the last drop of our blood,» added another protester. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated on Monday that the official withdrawal of the US troops had begun, confirming an earlier White House statement. Ankara said on Tuesday that preparations for a military operation against the US-backed Kurdish forces in northeastern Syria were complete.
