Syria: Displaced residents return to their homes in Halfaya

Hundreds of Syrian families displaced by the war returned to their homes in the town of Halfaya, northwest of Hama, as seen in footage shot on Tuesday, after the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) reportedly regained control of the area back in April. People can be seen driving into the town, waving flags and carrying banners as well as construction vehicles clearing rubble. «We've been literary out of the... Еще city of Halfaya for three years now, maybe a little bit more, and God willing, we returned with a lot of work ahead of us, and we will return and rebuild if God is willing,» said one of the returning residents. The United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) announced in December 2018 that as many as 250,000 Syrian refugees would be able to return to their homes this year.
