Around 2,500 people joined the climate demonstration which ended the week-long international summit «Smile for Future» in Lausanne, on Friday.
Participants walked from the city's train station to the shores of Lake Geneva singing slogans and playing music, and carried signs asking for 'Climate Justice'. Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg also made an appearance at the railway station... Еще gathering point, but left soon after to carry on her campaign.
Last week's summit was attended by around 400 people from 38 countries, who met to discuss issues such as climate justice, promoting scientific research on climate change and a limitation to global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius compared with pre-industrial levels. Activists also adopted a final declaration reaffirming their shared fight against climate change.
