UN Special Envoy for Syria, Geir O.Pedersen said that the latest round of negotiations of the Syrian Constitutional Committee ended without a consensus about what should be on the agenda.
«It was not possible to call for a meeting all the small body of 45 because there has not been an agreement on the agenda» said Pedersen.
'Disagreement on issues like this is typical for every process. I have... Еще as you may know, had several rounds of discussions everyday with the two co-chairs. They've has good discussions, serious, professional discussions and we have been trying to reach a consensus but as I said we are not there yet,» added the special envoy.
It was the second week-long round of the Syrian Constitutional Committee's talks. The body made up of 150 Syrian delegates representing the government, the opposition and civil society is tasked with drafting the constitution.
