Switzerland: IOC to discuss anti-doping, future Olympics in Lausanne

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Board (EB) convened in the Swiss city of Lausanne on Thursday for its second day of meetings. Members of the EB are expected to listen to an anti-doping report, amongst others, prepared by the Summer and Winter International Federations and National Olympic Committees. Later on in the day IOC President Thomas Bach is due to give a press conference on the results of the two-day convention. The IOC board is meeting at the Lausanne Palace Hotel on May 2 and 3, 2018. On Wednesday, the EB reviewed the results of the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympics and listened to a number of reports from the Organising Committees of the upcoming Tokyo 2020, Beijing 2022 and Paris 2024 Games. The EB also approved a document laying out guidance for medal reallocation in case Olympic athletes get stripped off their awards for doping rules violations.
