Former Ferrari Formula 1 team boss Jean Todt, who is now the UN Special Envoy for Road Safety, and former Formula 1 driver Felipe Massa, on Monday marked the 50th anniversary of the Vienna Conventions on road traffic and road signs and signals in Geneva.
Todt spoke of the success of road rules in developed countries since the convention, but noted that more work is needed in developing countries... Еще to reduce road fatalities.
«We know how important it is to convince the governments to apply those rules. Unfortunately we know that the rules are existing, but they are not enough implemented,» said Todt.
Worldwide, while many developed nations have both signed and ratified the conventions, world powers such as the United States and China have not signed on.
