Sweden: Nobel Prize in economics awarded for climate change and sustainable growth research

The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences awarded the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel 2018 to both William D. Nordhaus and Paul M. Romer at a press conference in Stockholm on Monday. Nordhaus was recognized by the academy for «integrating climate change into long-run macroeconomic analysis» while Romer won the prize for «integrating technological innovations... Еще into long-run macroeconomic analysis.» While the Sveriges Riksbank Prize is not technically a Nobel Prize, it is awarded within the same awards ceremony and regarded as the highest achievement in economics.
