Hundreds of protesters held an anti-racism demonstration in Malmo on Thursday. People gathered in support of George Floyd, the 46-year-old black American who had been killed in Minneapolis while in police custody last week.
As people held a rally despite the coronavirus restrictions on gatherings of more than 50 people, police reportedly had to intervene, prompting people to march through the city and eventually disperse.
People were seen holding anti-racism banners, including those, reading: «Black lives matter.»
Earlier on Wednesday, upgraded charges were announced against the police officers involved in the Floyd's case, with Derek Chauvin now facing second-degree murder charges with three other officers facing counts of aiding and abetting murder.
