Sudan: Protesters flood Khartoum streets in massive rally to demand reforms

Tens of thousands people took to the streets in several Sudanese cities for a «million-man march» on Tuesday, despite a coronavirus lockdown, to demand stronger civilian rule during this transitional period. A massive rally took place in Khartoum, were protesters were seen marching across the city, while carrying banners and a large national flag. According to reports, the tear gas was shot by police to prevent people from crossing the bridge leading to the capital city Khartoum and Khartoum North. Protesters also demanded justice for demonstrators who died during the popular movement that led to the outing of longtime ruler Omar al-Bashir last year.
