Thousands of protesters rallied in the Jabalia camp in the Gaza Strip, on Friday, against Israeli plans to annex territories in the West bank and against the US President Donald Trump's «Deal of the Century.»
Protesters were seen holding flags of Palestine and the Hamas Movement, which called for the protest, and holding banner reading slogans such as «#No to the annexation. The West Bank doesn't accept neither unjust nor annexation,» and «Your decision is void.»
«The decision of annexing the West Bank and the attempt to pass 'The Deal of the Century' by the Zionist enemy, is like adding fuel to the fire, and pushing the region into the flames,» said Hamas Official Mushir al-Masri.
Al-Masri warned that the Palestinian people and Hamas «will not stand aside and do nothing,» and called for «a massive revolution» in the West Bank to «face the annexation decision.»
«The Palestinian Authority is demanding to end the security coordination [with Israel], to unleash the [revolution] in the West Bank, « said another Hamas official Hamas Suhail Al-Hindi, who added that the Palestinian people «are united and will never accept the humiliation,» and that they will resist such decisions «with all of power» they have.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pledged to annex land in the West Bank occupied by Israeli settlements, in addition to other parts of the area, including the Jordan Valley.
