State of Palestine: Protesters engulfed with tear gas at demonstrations near Ramallah

Large numbers of Palestinian protesters clashed with the Israeli soldiers on Thursday at the checkpoint known as the DCO, which the Israeli army maintains at the northern end of the city of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank. On Tuesday, Trump unveiled his fabled 'deal of the century', a set of proposals to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, alongside Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu in Washington DC. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas rejected the plan with «a thousand no's,» as being one-sided in favour of Israel.
