State of Palestine: Cobbler demands UK, US citizens apologise before entering shop

A shoe shop in Ramallah has posted a sign at its entrance saying any British or American citizens who enter must apologise for the Balfour Declaration and US President Donald Trump’s Jerusalem embassy move. «To all British and American citizens — Before entering, you should offer your apologies and hold responsibility for the Balfour's declaration and Trump's dirty decision which has caused all... Еще the pain and suffering for the Palestinians since its declaration till this very moment,» the sign reads. The owner of the al-Rahalah shop, Emad al-Haj Mohammed, has named shoes after Trump, Balfour and US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley. Interviewed on Monday, Mohammed said Trump, Haley and UK Prime Minister Theresa May «all stand against the Palestinian people. These people pushed me to come down to this level, so I can tell them their size on the shoes of the youngest Palestinian child.» Mohammed also said he created two 'nuclear button' pairs of shoes, one big and one small, in a reference to Trump’s exchange of words with North Korea. Trump recognised Jerusalem as the capital of Israel on December 6, 2017, in a live televised address from Washington DC, simultaneously starting the process of relocating the US embassy from Tel Aviv. The announcement sparked a wave of protests throughout the world.
