Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas declared the end of deals with Israel and the United States on Tuesday, including security agreements, during a meeting with the Palestinian leadership in Ramallah.
«The Palestine Liberation Organization and the State of Palestine are absolved, as of today, of all the agreements and understandings with the American and Israeli governments and of all the... Еще obligations based on these understandings and agreements, including the security ones,» Abbas stated.
«The Israeli occupation authority, as of today, has to shoulder all responsibilities and obligations in front of the international community as an occupying power over the territory of the occupied state of Palestine,» he added.
The statement comes as a new coalition government was formed under the leadership of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has long advocated for the West Bank to be considered Israeli land, and vowed to take actions to that end as he was sworn in.
The Palestinian President pointed out in one of his statements the «firm commitment to fighting international terrorism regardless of shape or source.»
He concluded «calling on world countries that have rejected the deal of the century and American and Israeli policies and their measures that violate international legitimacy and agreements» to take «deterrent steps.»
