Еще daily average spread is 1.15 pips and maximum separation of 4.2 pips took place less than an hour ago. Pound/Dollar rose sharply during the last 4 hours, gaining a total of point 78% or 97 pips. UK retail sales were out today at 9:30 and that’s the time of the peak daily spread. Both of the sides separated as the daily high was reached, but you shouldn’t have seen a separation bigger than 4.2 pips. Last up is the Dollar/Yen, which has long term average and maximum spreads of point 36 and 2.3 pips respectively. The pair has depreciated by a total of 1.1% or 121 pips to hit the daily low of 108 55. Spreads were slightly elevated yesterday shortly after 11 PM GMT, but 2.3 pips is the most you should have been charged.
