Tourists continued to travel to the Valencian coast despite the outbreak of the coronavirus and the state of emergency declared by Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez on Friday.
Footage filmed at the Joaquin Sorolla Station in Valencia shows travellers arriving from across the country.
Some expressed concerns about the situation. A traveler from Cuenca said that «What is going on is serious... Еще and we must take action. We cannot take it lightly».
Another traveller from Castilla-La Mancha also said that the government's request to stay at home should not be understood «as a holiday».
«If it's a question of isolating the issue a little, then we should each stay in our own area and move around as little as possible. At least for a while now, until things calm down,» said one Valencia resident.
Authorities in the Valencian region ordered the closure of all public cultural, sports and leisure activities.
5,232 cases of the novel coronavirus were confirmed in Spain. 133 people died from the disease.
