Spain: They are 'perpetrating a coup d'etat' — Citizens party denounce independence referendum

Spain's main opposition party Citizens (Citizens–Party of the Citizenry) held a rally in Barcelona, Friday, to demonstrate against the Catalan independence referendum which is set to take place on October 1. Citizens spokesperson of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Miguel Garcia, argued that the Catalan pro-independence front are «side-stepping the Constitution» and are «perpetrating a coup d'etat... Еще.» Citizens party leader Albert Rivera, stressed that «what Citizens [party] is doing in Catalonia is truly revolutionary. It is the revolution of democratic values, the revolution of reason, freedom and democracy against supremacists, against those who feel superior to others, against those who are bothered by being the same as the rest of Spain, against those who want to silence us because they don't like what we think.»
