Spain: Sevilla and Real Betis arrive for closed-door Andalusian derby as La Liga restarts

The Sevilla and Real Betis team buses arrived at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium in Seville on Thursday, as La Liga prepares its marathon-comeback with 110 games in 35 days after being put on hold in March due to the coronavirus outbreak. The ‘Gran Derbi,’ as the fixture between the Andalusian rivals is known, is one of the most passionate football derbies in Europe and heralded a fiery restart to the league, even without spectators filling the stands at the 43,000-seat Sanchez Pizjuan. Footage shows the surroundings of the stadium, with fans waiting for the arrival of the players. Both teams entered using two buses each, in order to abide by the recommended social distancing protocol. The restart of La Liga ended up being favourable to Sevilla FC, who were victorious over their traditional rivals 2-0, with goals by Lucas Ocampos and Fernando.
