The Saudi-owned Bahri Yanbu cargo ship, which is suspected of carrying weapons bound for use in the conflict in Yemen, docked in Bilbao on Sunday.
Footage shows the ship arriving into the port under escort.
Protesters gathered at the port earlier in the day in an attempt to block it from docking. Authorities insist that the cargo is only going to be used for «defence purposes,» according to... Еще local media.
Bahri Yanbu left the French port of Cherbourg on February 6 and to make its 'unscheduled stop' in Bilbao. The vessel had reportedly been blocked from previously docking in Antwerp and Santander following public outrage and protests supported by Amnesty International.
Bahri Yanbu will also be stopping in Genoa before continuing on to Saudi Arabia, having previously docked in Germany and the UK under the cover of darkness and heavy police escort.
